Dear Mr. Tennes,

Thank you for your letter requesting information on the regulatory status of SUN-BRITE Cleaner. I have compared your product against the statutes which were most likely to be relevant to your question: the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Resource Recovery and Conservation Act (RCRA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA) and the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). You already have confirmed that the constituents of SUN-BRITE are on the TSCA Inventory which is your primary concern as a distributor. SUN-BRITE is not regulated under RCRA because it is not hazardous and it is not regulated under FIFRA because it is not a disinfectant. While I think it highly unlikely, I was not able to ascertain whether there were CERCLA or EPCRA reportable quantities (RQS) for any of the constituents because I did not know the chemical forms or CAS numbers for the product constituents. I have enclosed the EPA List of lists so that you can compare the constituents against this list. In summary, to my knowledge, your product is not regulated by Environmental Protection Agency.
